Márcio Fortes, president of the Olympic Public Authority (APO), which coordinates the preparations for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, found that Brasilia has potential and energy to host the football female and male eliminatories.

According to Fontes, Brasília already has a great potential to be optimized from July, when the city began to receive energy from plants Corumbá 3 and 4.
The president of APO also took the opportunity to meet with the administration of Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport on the afternoon of Thursday (4). The airport will receive the delegations that will compete or train before the beginning of the Games.

Márcio Fontes also visited Belo Horizonte, Salvador and São Paulo, cities hosting football games before the Olympics, since no competition can be held in place of the Games before the Olympic cauldron is lit.
